Hongkong photos ahead!=)

it's already our 3rd time going Hongkong, but i'm still pretty excited! it's always nice to go overseas to relax and shop like crazy. hahaha
the euro lounge at changi airport; on the cathay flight; hongkong airport showing their support for olympics 2008, and the big countdown board

reached hongkong in time for a short shopping spree, and we headed for harbour city. and as per the previous two trips, i spent my first HKD in a sports shop. haha

our toiletries, and the nice view from our room..

then it was dinner time, and we had steamboat! but i was too shy to take photos of the spread, lol. luckily, we had steamboat for a second time! and these is only part of the food we ordered, cause it was a buffet. i like the fried fish skin, beef balls, and the variety was so much more than the ones we're used to in singapore, so we ate alot!!! burppp.. =p

woke up late on the second day (we actually woke up early for the remainder of the trip) to have wanton mee for lunch! it's a shop we always visit each time we come hongkong. the noodles and wanton are both nice! though i dun like the 鲮鱼球 inside.

then it was time to start my mad shopping spree. we went granville, nathan, cameron and mongkok centre. and the result was that i spent a lot, nearly went broke.=p dinner was at spaghetti house, which is like the pastamania of hongkong, except that the food is more expensive but much much nicer! the nice deco; and the food we ordered: clam chowder, seafood au gratin and smoked salmon pizza=)

had the ubiquitous fairwood 大快活 for lunch on day 3. forced to take these lame photos after we forgot to take photos of our food before gulping them up.
then we went to central中环, wanting to check out 利源东/西街 for hair clips i can buy for my colleagues, but there was nothing much. instead we ended up spending too much time in the H&M at crawford house. it goes without saying that we spent quite a lot again. =p

took the tram to kennedy town for our dinner, where i ate roast goose, yumyum! but again, too shy to take photos. ahaha maybe next time!

didn't take much photos during the day (cause i was too busy shopping), but this is my 收获 by day 3. haha

headed to taikoo 太古 cityplaza on day 4, where our main aim was to hit the UNIQLO store. had a nice lunch at Cafe de Coral 大家乐. we had ramen and curry chicken rice, with red bean ice and milk tea.

we spent about 3 hours in just one shop, and then walked about for a while more before going to causeway bay 铜锣湾 to have our tea break- Krispy Kreme! =)

2 of us ate 6 donuts, super fattening, but worth it. haha they even have a lame hat which looks so comical on me

posing inside the mtr stations, and my poor boy who has to carry my shopping. =p

then we went langham place, just cause it's raining and we have nowhere to run! we didn't even buy anything there, and just took lots of photos. there was this display of the 12 constellations, so we just shot photos. quite tiring, especially when we realised there was a constellation on the 13th floor when we were already at the 10th floor, and had to climb the stairs up again.

we had instant noodles, black pepper chicken leg and sushi for dinner. bought them at the convenience store and brought them back to our hotel to enjoy. quite sumptuous! but the only photo of our dinner is this stain i accidentally caused on the room carpet. and it kind of ruined my happiness of the day =( but luckily don't have to pay for the damage.

on day 5 we headed to macau!! quite excited that i keep taking photos, though we spent only about 8 hours there. haha

the ferry tickets, and the turbojet ferry which turned out to be quite slow, haha. journey was about 1 hour long, but the ferry didn't rock too badly so it was ok.

we engaged a tour guide to save us the trouble of driving around macau, and he first dropped us off for lunch. the first three photos below are the portugese tarts 葡挞 and the pork chop bun 猪扒包, the famous foods of macau. and they're really nice! the rest are the the different things we tried for lunch.
some of the sights of macau, there are casinos everywhere, and they look so grand! we also checked out a cathedral that sat atop a hill, and also the 妈祖阁。the statue in the third row below was built by the portugese before they left macau, and so it looks like an angmoh buddha, meaning it doesn't look like a buddha. hahaha
how could we miss the ruins of St. Paul's? it's like the symbol of Macau, die die cannot miss. i want take wedding photos there! but i need crowd control and weather control la. haha must photoshop all the stupid people in the background away. but i don't have photoshop haha

and of course, we couldn't miss checking out the venetian. it was so opulent, it's the only word i think describes it well. the whole interior was just golden and brightly lit. chandeliers, faux street scenery of europe, a canal for the gondolas etc..wow
didn't gamble at the casino, just went in to watch people play. then it was time to return to hongkong for our steamboat dinner. we finished dinner at 11pm, so we had a hard time sleeping on such a full stomach. but we needed to wake up early the next day to go tungchung 东涌 to check out the factory outlets.

in the end, the only things we bought were these 3 cakes. the factory outlets were disappointing, it wasn't as cheap as we expected, and there was limited sizes and variety.

so we took the long journey back to mongkok and just walked around the area and then headed to 女人街 for dinner. as it was raining, and we thought we were rich (aka mad), we tried a japanese restaurant set meal for 2. thank god it didn't disappoint =)

our lovely food! the ambience was quite nice too!

my shopping from day 4 and 5.

i like this two Tshirts that i bought for my bro and his girlfriend. sort of like a couple tee, but different in design.

on our last day, we had to leave for the airport at 12noon, so we woke up early to eat the hotel buffet breakfast. and then rushed to do some last minute shopping to get some polo tees for my dad and bro.

our return flight, and my alcoholic DFS purchases. hahaha

some last random street sights of hongkong.
first row: a bentley in tsimshatsui, our 鸡蛋仔,北京奥运2008,
second row: the peninsula
third row: some cute 老夫子posters about cough manners, and the inside of a tram.

沉浸在我们的世界.
